Fly Tying Fundamentals Part Two
Part Two of Fly Tying Fundamentals will build on the basics covered in the first session and move into a broader range of tying techniques.
Kossy will demonstrate a selection of useful trout flies, each chosen because it introduces a different skill or method at the vice. These are not just patterns worth having in your own fly box. They are also patterns that teach techniques used across a huge range of popular trout flies.
Members will see how materials are selected, handled and tied in, how proportions are managed, and how small changes in technique can make a fly more durable, better balanced and more effective on the water.
The real value of the night is not just learning a handful of individual flies. Once you understand the methods used to tie them, you will have the foundations to tie a much wider range of patterns with confidence.
This session is ideal for anyone who attended Part One, as well as members who already know the basics but want to tidy up their technique and expand what they can tie.
